Wackies recently started re-issue program surely didn’t go unnoticed by serious reggae lovers. Many cheers must have been uttered around the reggae world, when suddenly very hard to find collectors-items were re-issued and are now readily available. Legendary albums, like those of the Love Joys, Sugar Minott, Junior Delahaye and Clive Fieldmarshall; classic 12”es like This world – Leroy Sibbles, Money Money – Horace Andy and Youthman - Wayne Jarrett and a couple of the heavy dubs like ‘Jamaica Super Dub’, ‘Natures dub’ and African Roots Act 2 & 3’ quickly filled gaps in many a record collection. However, if you, due to circumstance beyond your own control, are not familiar with the legendary producer Bullwackie Barnes, this is the best starting point for a journey into Wackies territory. 18 wicked tracks were selected from the above mentioned records and the resulting album is a scorcher: over 71 minutes of the hardest reggae ever made.
