This is reggae music how it's supposed to sound: live inna the dancehall. The mighty Stur-gav with Daddy U Roy at the controls and the legendary Brigadier Jerry at the microphone stand, is one of the few remaining 'old school' sounds that is still active. No dubplate specials to carry the swing, but pure lyrics, lyrics and more lyrics. Briggy is in fine form and toasts the night away on the studio one riddims U Roy selects. This session was recorded in Florida this summer. The double CD also features part of the set of the hosting soundsystem, Downbeat Sound. They play a good selection of all-time favourites, but the fire starts blazing for real after Stur-gav takes over and gives Brigadier Jerry the mic.
