This very strong album combines the two leading cultural deejays in fine style, though they do not really do any combination. 'Toe 2 Toe' consists half of Sizzla and half of Capleton material. A few songs are already available on cd, most of the tracks listed are either just been released on 7 inch, or haven't seen the official daylight yet upon appearing on this disc. Some wicked dancehall pieces are blended in with a couple of very high standard reggae/roots tunes. Sizzla's 'Love In The House' is an absolute smash, same goes for Capleton's 'Jah Jah Lift My Head'. Capleton's very pensive 'She's So fine' is a beautiful lovers anthem, both Sizzla's 'Set The Place a Fire' and Capleton's 'Word Of Mind' ride and updated version of Aswad's 'Promised Land' riddim. Both artist also ride a couple of dancehall riddims together. These include riddims for Big Jeans, In Time and Stonelove. Sizzla's half is slightly more dancehall orientated than Capleton's selection, Mad Doc, Kennedy Int., Mo Music And Kings of Kings all have their piece.
