For years this documentary was very hard to find on video, now Jet Star releases it on DVD. This one is a must for all Lee Perry fans. The documentary, which was shot sometime in the late eighties sees Lee Perry in all his genuine madness or his mad genius, whatever is your opinion of the man. The picture and sound quality is sometimes poor, unfortunately this is due to the recording and not through lack of digital mastering. Some shots are made in barely lit studios and some interviews are done with lousy microphones. Adjust the equaliser on your set : trying to make sense of the Upsetter is half the fun of this DVD. Bonuses include a feature on Jet Star produced Perry albums and an introduction of a new English roots band The Rasites.
