Scandinavian filmmaker Benjamin Christenson's 1922 documentary on the history of witchcraft, black magic and demonology.
This silent film attempts to chart the black arts from the middle ages through to the twentieth century using a variety of styles, including illustrated slideshows and dramatisations of supposedly real events.
Although the subject matter is dark, the film still manages to generate some humorous moments.
