Western romance/adventure in the wilds of Oregon. Logan Stuart (Dana Andrews) escorts his friend's fiancee Lucy (Susan Hayward) back to the wilds of Jacksonville, Oregon. Along the way Lucy takes a shine to Logan, who doesn't seem that interested. Meanwhile, wouldn't you know it, those pesky Indians are getting restless.
