Radio On (Region 1) - Petit, Christopher
Releasedatum: 14 maart 2007
Director Chris Petitís 1979 post-punk classic RADIO ON was one of the most striking feature debuts in British cinema. Co-produced by Wim Wenders and featuring Stingís first screen performance, RADIO ON captured the lurking disenchantment of British youth during the Thatcher era.
Filmed in stark black and white by Martin Schafer (Wendersí brilliant cinematographer) and driven by a startling soundtrack, Petitís anti-road movie follows a London DJ (David Beames) as he travels to Bristol to investigate the mysterious death of his brother. It offers a compelling and even mythic vision of late 1970ís England.
Soundtrack includes David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Robert Fripp, Ian Dury, Wreckless Eric, Lene Lovich, The Rumour and Devo.
