When vinyl was the order of the day, album releases contained about ten tracks due to the limited playing time of a record. With the arrival and success of the compact disc it was possible to put more than twenty tunes on a disc.
Great for samplers, but in many cases not for artist albums as far too often tunes are included that would have been left out on a vinyl album, simply because they don't match a certain quality standard.
However this is not the case with Lutan Fyah's new 2007 album on Cousins Records called "You bring blessings". This album stands strong from start till end with conscious tunes and beautiful lovesongs, sung with the authentic raspy voice of Lutan.
Lutan Fyah definitely makes his mark as a more than talentful singer in Jamaica and across the globe, ready to become a star as the likes of Junior Kelly and Sizzla.
