Directed by Hideo Gosha ('Three Outlaw Samurai') and starring Tatsuya Nakadai ('Ran') and the ace Tetsuro Tanba, 'Goyokin' tells the story of a haunted samurai named Magobei, returning home to the site of a past massacre to seek revenge and calm for his soul. The clan he abandoned intends to instigate a heartless massacre akin to an earlier reign of terror that caused him to resign his position and leave the clan.
