Capleton - Still Blazin'
Releasedatum: 26 februari 2002
Dennis Brown once sang 'The Prophet Rides Again', a song title that keeps springing into mind whilst listening this album. 'Still Blazing' is a collection of dancehall and roots tunes, all done in the fiercy bobo style, that is Capleton's trademark. Almost all tracks came out on 45 very recently and are still in demand. Songs like 'New Way' and 'Çaan Tan Yah' were very popular in Yard this winter, while 'How It Ago', 'Guerrilla Warfare' and 'Hail King Selassie' are currently rocking the masses. The last mentioned song features Luciano, other guests are Morgan Heritage and Glenn Washington. Amongst the featured producers are established names like Black Scorpio, African Star, Anthony Malvo, John John and Fat Eyes. The younger generation is present in the likes of Sugar Roy, Natural Bridge, Mixing Finga and Calibud. Capleton's very own David House takes production credits on 4 tracks. The prophet is in fine form on this excellent album, fire can’t cool.
