Now what is this??? It's pretty vague for sure. It's a Japanese release so unfortunately I cannot figure out the liner notes so all following information is pure guesswork on my account. 'Africa' is a live show, part of the tour that followed the release of the 'Survival' set. It was released and probably recorded in Africa (hence the title). Since it is not the Zimbabwe show (that's one I’m familiar with), it must be the Gabon show if the title makes sense. anyway, the show focuses a lot on 'Survival', there is a horn section featuring Dean Frazer if I’m correct, The MC (Don Taylor?) announces almost every song and sometimes there is reverb on Bob’s voice and Carlton’s drum kit to spice up the 'dub-breaks' within the songs. Wicked, wicked stuff! I'm sure I've heard parts of this show on some dodgy bootleg cassette before so it could well be an American show instead of the Gabon one.
