Turbulence - Rising
Releasedatum: 8 november 2001
Last summer this man was the biggest revelation on to be seen and heard on any stage in Europe. Turbulence left a deep impression, opening for Sizzla on all his tourdates, even deeper than the one Sizzla himself left. Turbulence is a dread who actually sounds more like Norrisman than Sizzla himself, but the Bobo style is very recognizable. Ever since his live appearance the people were eager waiting on a new album. ‘Rising’ is his second album and, just like his self-titled debut album, it is produced by Fattis Burrell. So this one shouldn’t be hard to sell, if you like Sizzla Turbulence will be difficult to ignore. The riddims form a well-balanced mix between roots and ragga. Luckily the R&B virus that spread so fast through the Xtrerminator camp hasn’t reached this outing so at least this one is pure Jamaican music.
