'Eros' is not only an anthology of three medium length films on the subject of eroticism and desire, but also a salute to the most admired and inspiring director Michelangelo Antonioni. We can see three different and unique approaches to the theme: Wong with a richly textured and achingly emotional erotic tale; Soderbergh with a wry and perverse comedy to find out the real desire by the comparison of reality and dreams; and Antonioni with his philosophical meditation on the abyss between men and women. 'The Hand' (Wong Kar-Wai): In the 60's in Hong Kong, a tailor's apprentice Zhang has been attracted by the beauty of a famous courtesan Hua. Over many year, he lovingly crafts the clothes that she wears for other men. Over time, the fantasy women loses everything but the tailor prospers in his career. Then the unexpexted happens... 'Equilibrium' (Steven Soderbergh): In 1850's New York, an advertising man Nick Penrose has been suffering from a recurring erotic dreams. He went to psychiatrist Dr. Pearl seek for help. He recalls the dream but can't remember who she is when he wakes up. During the offbeat session of therapy, we discover why that is. 'The Dangerous Thread Of Things' (Michelangelo Antonioni): A fortyish married couple is confronting their different viewpoint about sex, as the woman has no desire whereas the man remains has big desire on this. The man has a passionate one night stand with a free-spirited young girl occasionally, this ignite his new thinking of eroticism and desir. Later on, the wife and the girl meet...
