Very nice DVD that features two previously released videos. The first, called ‘Big League Reggae’ is a nice stage show, recorded about ten years ago. It features Thriller U, Gregory Isaacs, John Holt and Dennis Brown. All the artists perform well, Gregory still was a locksman and D. Brown, although a little hoarse, closes the show in his signature style, calling back the other artists for a grand finale. The second stage is ‘Rock Steady Reunion 92’. This show is even better than the first. The line up is massive and everybody is backed by the great Lloyd Parks and We The People band. It opens with the Clarendonians, featuring Pete Austin and Ernest Wilson. Next up are the great Ken Boothe, Queen of Reggae Marcia Griffith and the late Delroy Wilson. John Holt is also featured on this show and his performance is a lot better, thanks to the great backing. Lloyd Parks hands over his bass to step in line with Jackie Paris and Pat Kelly, to perform as The Techniques. The evening, and the DVD, closes with The Melodians, consisting of Lloyd Brevette, Brent Dowe and Trevor McNaughton. With so many legendary artists performing live on one disc, every oldies fan should have this one.
