In Shane Meadows' Dead Man's Shoes Paddy Considine stars as Richard, a young Derbyshire man who, on leaving his hometown to join the army, also abandons his dependent teenage brother, Anthony (Toby Kebbell), a youth cursed with learning difficulties. Without Richard around to watch his back, Anthony falls in with a local gang of vicious drug dealers and users for whom he becomes a target of severe bullying and physical and mental abuse.
