Candy, a young woman and naive student, is embarking on an adventure to find truth and meaning to her life. Her journey takes her through New York and Las Vegas where she encounters a variety of colourful characters who lead her astray: a poet (Richard Burton), an army general (Walter Matthau), a Mexican gardener (Ringo Starr) and a spiritual guru (Marlon Brando).
