Great, great compilation of rare and even rarer ska tracks from the legendary Treasure Isle label. 20 songs in all, each one backed by the legendary Skatalites or the Baba Brooks Band. About half are instrumentals featuring all the top instrumentalists of the era like Don Drummond, Rico Rodriguez, Roland Alphonso, Tommy McCook and Lyn Taitt. Among the vocalists are Treasure Isle singers like Justin Hinds & The Dominoes, The Techniques, Alton Ellis, his sister Hortense and Stranger Cole. Only a couple of these songs emerged on albums, most just saw a limited Jamaican release in the sixties or remained unreleased up until now. Great stuff.
