Just a couple of weeks after his ‘Great Controversy’ album, Luciano is doing it again. ‘A New Day’ is a beautifully produced, very well compiled album that will easily stand the test of time. In comparison with ‘Great Controversy’, this one is much more mellow, very laid back indeed. Most tracks are produced by Dean Fraser. Sly and Robby, Stingray, High power and Luciano himself take the production credits of one track each. Contains the hits ‘God & King’, ‘Nah Give Up’ and ‘Journey’, but it’s not the hits you should be interested in. Every tune is a perfect combination of lyrics, delivery, riddim and production that it’s almost impossible to not listen to the entire set once you’ve started.
