It's about 20 years ago that Cocoa Tea scored his first hits for Volcano. Later on he sung tons of dancehall classics for top producers like Jammys, Xterminator and Bobby Digital and started his own 'Roaring Lion' label in the late nineties. Earlier this year he scored his biggest hit since ages with the very catchy 'Tek Weh Yuh Gal'. This song rose to number 1 in almost all of the world's reggae charts and it now is followed by this album with the same title. Cocoa Tea does what he does best: dancehall, lovers and reality songs over strong reggae riddims. He produced the entire album himself and did a good job. Featured artists Anthony B, Sizzla and Cutty Ranks provide the roughness on their tracks, while sweet, sweet Cocoa Tea brings the sugar coated smoothness.
