Lyle (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is filled with rage. After badly beating a classmate during a schoolyard fight, he is committed to a juvenile mental institution in lieu of criminal prosecution. Inside, Lyle encounters a group of adolsecents all failing to deal with the hand that society has dealt them. Under the watchful eye of psychiatrist Dave (Don Cheadle), the kids start to deal with their lives in this powerful depiction of teen alienation and violence.
