Ten-year-old Michele lives in a tiny village in southern Italy. By accident Michele discovers a boy called Filippo who is hidden in a dark pit. Someone is holding him there but Michele is afraid to let Filippo out of his prison. The two boys do become friends. Michele brings him food and water. When it transpires that Michele's own father may be involved in Filippo's fate, he decides that it's time to give Filippo back his freedom. This dvd has English, Italian and Spanish subtitle options.
