Fenda, Chuck - Better Days
Releasedatum: 5 juli 2004
This is the long-awaited debut album of Chuck Fender, one of the fastest rising stars of Jamaica. He scored his first hit with 'Badda Badda', a hardcore bad boy tune on Jammy$ riddim with the same name. A couple of years ago the gangsta deejay turned Rasta and joined the 5th Element Crew (along with Richie Spice and Anthony Cruz). He started to make conscious hits like 'Better Days', 'Haffi Win' and 'The Prayer'. This year he hit the real big time first with his personal statement 'I Swear' and then with the sufferers anthem 'Oh My Lord'. This is a ballad that was 'Passa Passa's theme song for months when Tony Matterhorn was the sole owner of the dubplate. The entire album is a very strong roots reggae set in the style of Sizzla and Junior Kelly. Definitely the best debut of the year so far.
