Reggae Gold 2004 is a mix of the latest dancehall and reggae hits, courtesy of VP records. It features Capleton’s Jamaican #1 hits ‘Fire Time’ on the ‘Mad Instruments’ riddim and ‘In Har Heart’on ‘Chrome’, the same riddims is used for Elephantman’s smash ‘Jiggy’. The two biggest reggae hits are former #1’s and modern roots anthems ‘No Guns To Town’ by Natty King and ‘Earth a Run Red’ by Richie Spice. From the other side of the reggae spectrum come international crossovers like Beenieman’s ‘Dude’ and ‘Ay Ay Ay’ by Tony Touch and Sean Paul. Reggae gold 2004 also features two dancehall remixes of pophits: Elepantman, Twista, Youngbloods & Kiprich’s ‘Jook Gal’on the ‘Coolie Skank’ riddim and the great reggae mix of Alicia Keys' ’You Don’t Know My Name’. Sasha’s ‘Dat Sexy body’ is remixed Reggaethon style ( a Latin American mix of ragga and merengue) and introduces Spanish mc Ivy Queen.Other artists on this album are Assasin, Wayne wonder, Lexxus, Tany stephens, Beres Hammond, Baby cham & Jimmy cheeztrix, TOK, Tonto Metro & Devonte, Morgan Heritage and Lady Saw.
