The Abyssinians' 'Satta Masa Gana' was recorded at Studio One in 1968. Coxsone didn't like it that much and never released it. A few years later the Abyssinians bought the track from Coxsone and released it themselves. It became a huge hit and is now considered as a rasta anthem pur sang. This album features different cuts from the 70s by the Abyssinians themselves, deejays Dillinger, Big Youth & Prince Far I and instrumentalists Bongo Herman, Tommy McCook and Lloyd Charmers. 10 brand new cuts make up the total. These include current stars like Luciano, Capleton, Dean Frazer and Anthony B; grassroots artists like Natural Black, Yami Bolo & Jah Mali; and veterans like U Roy, Tony Tuff & Ernest Rangling.
