After his much praised debut CD Ego, completely devoted to the Late- Romanticist Nicolai Medtner, the young master pianist Caspar Vos releases his 2nd album. On Restart the 20th C. Catalonian composer Frederic Mompou is the central figure. Mompou’s music happens to be simple and effective, but beneath the surface resides an impressive, fragile and silent sonic landscape. To dig this up a pianist needs to fully switch of his ego and explore his inner peace. Nurtured by a big respect for Mompou, Vos took the leap.
