Elephant Man - Log On
Releasedatum: 12 november 2001
Elephantman’s second album proves once more that he is the number one underground deejay in Jamaica. Almost all his lyrics are far to slack to have airplay, but in between the swearing and cussing, the man has some things to say in a ghetto point of view. He bashes fassies, haters and Babylon and seems to enjoy each licking a lot. The sheer enthusiasm on the edge of complete madness with which he delivers his speeches wins over the sometimes dodgy and always controversial lyrics. When this is combined with the hottest rhythms and producers that run Jamaica, nothing can go wrong. And it doesn’t. 22 tracks and all are winners. There are the hits like ‘Log On’, Jamaica’, ‘They Call Me’, ‘Warrior Cause’, Bad Gal Bad Man’, ‘Hot Girls’, ‘Blaze It Up’ and ‘Anything A Anything’. Producers include the very hot Jeremy Harding, Stone Love, Q45, John John, Mo’Music, Big Jeans, CéCo, Black Shadow, CJ, Richie Stephens, Goofy and Gargamel. And if you’re worried that 22 times Elephantman is a bit of an overdose, the man is joined behind the microphone console by Kymani Marley, Spragga Benz, Buju Banton, Ward 21, Cecile, Wayne Marshall and Ricky Rudy a.k.a. Bling Dawg.
