This is Daweh Congo's fourth album, and his fans will know what to expect. The heartical rastaman brings brand new conscious lyrics over original roots riddims, all delivered with his 'Burning Spear'-like bariton. The album was recorded at tuff gong and features their inhouse musicians like Franklyn 'Bubbler' Waul, Chris Meredit and Squiddly cole. They are joined by gitarist Gitsy and Chinna Smith, the horn section of Dean, Nambo and David Madden and a whole heap of binghi drummers, to produce a full band sound. Nowadays, not a lot of artists produce timeless roots music, but Daweh Congo skillfully steers away from the dancehall trap to come up with this classic reggae album.
