Various Artists - Ragga Ragga Ragga! (Volume 15)
Releasedatum: 7 maart 2001
It took a while for this 15th volume of the highly acclaimed ‘Ragga Ragga Ragga’ series to emerge, the last issue was released in 1999, but it was well worth waiting for because it’s very, very strong. 18 songs in total, half of which was released before, the others are exclusives. It opens with Bounty Killer & Wayne Marshall’s ‘Smoke Clears’ which is destined to be a number one in the world-wide reggae charts. The second track is ‘Sting History’ Merciless’ glorious account of the Sting clash when he defeated Ninjaman , Bountykiller and Beenieman. Next up are a couple of exclusives by the likes of Bounty, Elephantman, Vegas and Beenieman. All of whom are featured more than once. Sizzla’s controversial ‘Woman Dem A Fi We’ is rather slack, while Red Rat ‘Bun Them’ sees the rodent in a fireburning mood. Capleton’s light-hearted ‘Mi food’ proves the Prophet can be a comedian even though he quickly returns to his no nonsense style in the ‘Workie Workie’ remix of ‘Hands Off and the brand new ‘Help’. Ward 21, Lexxus and Kirk Davis complete the roll call of this highly recommended compilation.
