Various Artists - Thunder & Bedroom
Releasedatum: 15 maart 2001
Remember Jeremy Harding? The man that brought us the ‘Playground’ riddim, made famous by Beenie’s ‘Who Am I’? Well he did it again. The ‘Thunder’ riddim is the follow up of the ‘Lighting’ riddim, hence the title, and it is so wicked it’s evil. Such a strong riddim needs strong song and, luckily, there are plenty of those on this album, so time and space leave me no option than to quickly mention some of the artists names. Bountykiller, DaVille, Frisco Kid, Buccaneer, TOK, Sean Paul, Merciless, Ce’cile, Red Rat, Harry Toddler, Devonte and Tanto Metro are hitbound . A good meal needs a nice desert and the 7 versions of the 'Bedroom' riddim serve that purpose well. Producer Preston Onfroy is a new kid in town and on the evidence of this riddim he will stick around for a while. 'Bedroom' is a flowing dancehall riddim that keeps ringing in your head. Capleton's 'Them A So Hype', Bounty's 'Fortune', Vegas' 'Land Of Mi Birth' and Elephantman's 'Scla-Die are big hits in the dance. Other artists are Frisco Kid, Mad Anju and Hawkeye.
