Bittersweet Life R2 (Uk Import) - Jee-Woon, Kim
Releasedatum: 30 maart 2009
Kim Sun-woo is a slickly dressed, loyal hitman who’s devoted to his boss, gang leader Kang. He’s entrusted to look after Kang’s girlfriend, who is suspected of having an affair. Indeed, Kim watches her with her lover, but fails to report the incident. His actions find him attacked first by a rival gang and then by an unhappy Kang. Left for dead, he sets on a course of revenge, setting in motion a torrent of blood and mayhem which has only tragic personal consequences. Kim Jee-Woon's A Bittersweet Life adds a deliciously original power to gangster movies, pumping the genre with a fresh hail of cinematic bullets. Bloody, brutal, but also ravishingly beautiful, this Korean Point Blank has world-class stature alongside Tarantino, Peckinpah, John Woo and fellow Korean director, Park Chan-Wook. This is the original Korean theatrical version.
