Beyond the Clouds is Michelangelo Antonioni's first film since the legendary Italian film director suffered a stroke in 1985. The film is based on his book That Bowling Alley in the Tiber. It connects four different stories about love, lust and relationships. These stories are told by the perspective of a film director who wanders around Italy and learns the secrets of the inhabitants of various cities. The film was co-directed by Wim Wenders. The musical score features Van Morrison, Brian Eno and U2.
