Andy Lau and Maggie Cheung star in the thrillingly epic story of a simple fisherman, Fei (Lau) who unwittingly comes to the aid of a fugitive king on the run from his villainous brother. With violent battles between the two opposing siblings constantly raging, Fei is sent by the king to escort his future bride to safety. Unfortunately, during the mission Fei falls in love with the king's betrothed and sets in motion a tragic tale of love and betrayal.
